When making the decision to purchase machinery, there are various factors that need to be evaluated: the design and performance of the equipment and also , very importantly, how it will be supported.

Registerprint’s team of engineers is second to none within the industry, employing the largest base of field service technicians and using genuine replacement spare parts, where available. The team is capable of addressing problems relating to electro-mechanical issues, as well as to some of the most highly sophisticated electronic systems in use today. Problems are solved using both field and on-line services.

From the company’s base in Kent, spare parts are distributed, including parts for very old or obsolete machinery. Parts can also be manufactured in-house, using extensive, on site engineering facilities - from replacing machine panels, re-engineering motors and gearboxes to fully reprogramming a mulit-colour line. The entire process is carried out by our own trained staff.

Registerprint changes to meet the increasingly diverse needs of it’s customers.

ow retailing has changed in the last few years. Marks and Spencer's

Now take credit cards; John Lewis open on Sundays and Tesco now sell

all manner of financial products as well as their ’bread and butter’ groceries.

These major retailers have certainly realized that you have to adapt in order to survive and prosper in the marketplace - a fact of business life which has not gone unnoticed at Registerprint.

For over 40 years Registerprint has been renowned for its association with Svecia, selling and maintaining the entire range of presses as well as pre and post press equipment produced by companies like Svecia, Sias, Harlacher, Groenland, Viprotec, Lamina, and many more.

The Directors are determined to build on the company’s sales and servicing heritage and as such they have added a whole range of new services, with the intention of adding new products in the future. These have, and will ,in effect turn Registerprint into a total solutions provider for everyone in the screenprinting business.

For example, Registerprint’s team of experienced engineers will assist customers to source parts for and repair machinery other than Svecia. The engineers are strategically located throughout the UK and can also travel to customers in Northern Ireland,Eire and even Europe if necessary. In many instances the field service technicians can be on hand within a few hours  of the customer’s call. It’s this speed of response to reinforce Registerprint’s position at the top of the service league. Each engineer carries at least £15,000 worth of spare parts at all times. This means that unexpected breakdowns can be dealt with in the shortest possible time. On top of that ,many software faults can be fixed remotely via modem links. It is also possible to “fix” hardware problems. For example, non essential motors can be “written out” of the programme allowing the machine to function until an engineer can arrive to replace the damaged item.

Tens of thousands of other components are held at Registerprint’s main offices with details held on the company’s powerful computer system for the speediest possible dispatch.

“Of course” , says Jeff Turley, “the best way to minimise the risk of equipment malfunctioning is to take out a planned maintenance contract  with Registerprint. We offer customized contracts which take into account the machinery workload and usage. It is accepted that a regularly serviced car is less likely to breakdown than one that is neglected- the same can be said of screenprinting machinery. And, for those not wanting to commit to regular maintenance schedules , there is the option of Premier service whereby an engineer is booked for a specified number of days per month of the year. Any problems that have arisen between visits are noted and this information is then faxed or e-mailed to the service department to ensure the engineer has all the parts that be required. The jobs are then tracked and remedied, and a full lubrication service carried out as well, if required. A number of customers who have taken out a Premier Service contract say it’s as efficient as having their own in-house specialist engineer”.

As a company, Registerprint is dedicated to continually improving its customer service though on-going investment . As part of this programme, a powerful new dedicated service management software package was recently purchased which will upgrade even further the standards of after-sales care. Says Registerprint’s service manager Mike Key:”The program is now being tailored to meet our needs exactly. It  will enable us to keep full job histories attached to the details of every machine we’ve handled, as well as maintaining our vast stock of spare parts. Together with accurate billing, this will provide customers with a far smother and more efficient service.” According to Key, the system should be fully operational by this Christmas.

Registerprint also has a large stock of previously owned machines, all of which are fully reconditioned and guaranteed, both electrically and mechanically. They can even be totally re-sprayed if the purchaser requests.Just a few years ago these machines were state of the art and, depending on the type, are often the same specification as a new machine, yet available at a fraction of the cost of their brand new counterparts. Another advantage of buying used equipment  is that Registerprint  can normally deliver, install and commission it very quickly. This alone could prove very beneficial if you have an urgent deadline to meet.
